How to play
- Choose your class group: Junior (JSS 1–3), Medium (SSS 1–2) or Senior (WAEC/JAMB).
- Choose a game mode: Classic Math, Find the X or Rapid Blitz.
- Choose a sprint: 30 seconds (Blitz), 60 seconds (Standard) or 90 seconds (Marathon).
- Press Play Now (or the Space bar) and answer each question before the timer runs out. Tap the on-screen number pad, or type digits and press Enter. Backspace or DEL clears a digit.
- See your results: score, correct answers, accuracy, longest streak, average response time and your rank.
Levels
All questions use whole numbers. Higher levels use bigger numbers, add division and score more points per correct answer.
| Level | Operations | Number range | Points per answer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Junior (JSS 1–3) | + − × | Adding 2–13, times tables up to 11 × 11 | 60 |
| Medium (SSS 1–2) | + − × ÷ | Adding 2–31, multiplying up to 15 × 11, whole-number division | 100 |
| Senior (WAEC/JAMB) | + − × ÷ | Adding 2–76, multiplying up to 21 × 11, whole-number division | 150 |
Game modes
- Classic Math: work out the answer, for example 12 + 15 = ?
- Find the X: find the missing number in an equation, for example ? × 7 = 56 or 45 − ? = 18. Good practice for the reasoning behind simple algebra.
- Rapid Blitz: a mix of Classic and Find the X questions, so you never know which type is next.
Scoring, streaks and ranks
Every correct answer earns the level's points, plus a speed bonus if you answer in under 3 seconds. Correct answers in a row raise your multiplier. A wrong answer resets it to 1x.
| Correct in a row | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| 0–2 | 1x |
| 3–5 | 2x |
| 6–9 | 3x |
| 10 or more | 4x |
Your final score gives you a rank: Math Recruit (under 600), Math Scholar (600+), Calculus Grandmaster (1,200+) or Math Olympian (2,000+).
Who it's for
- JSS students building speed with times tables, addition and subtraction.
