How to play
Choose who is playing, then pick a game. Every round is short, and the results screen shows what you learned and what to practise. Stars are saved on your device only.
- 🎈 Balloon Letters: Hear a letter and pop its balloon. Divers pop the first letter of a word.
- 🍎 First Sounds: A is for apple! Match pictures and first letters.
- ⛵ Rhyme Boats: Cat… hat! Find the picture that rhymes.
- ✏️ Trace Tracks: Trace letters and numbers with your finger; the game checks how well you covered the shape.
What players learn
Recognising capital and small letters, linking letters to the first sound of familiar words, hearing rhymes, and forming letters and numbers by tracing.
For teachers and parents
Letter Lagoon supports early literacy: letter recognition, first sounds and rhyme awareness, which all help children learn to read. Read-aloud uses the device’s voice, which says letter names; teachers and parents can add the letter sounds as children play.
Letter Lagoon supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
