How to play

Choose who is playing, then pick a game. Learn first, then take the quiz. Stamps are saved on your device only.

  • 🗺️ Explore & Learn: tap a pin on the map of Africa (or choose from the list). Read or listen to the story of the place, see its fact file and where it is on the map, then take a short quiz to earn its passport stamp.
  • 🖼️ Picture Quiz (Little Explorers): easy picture questions about places across Africa.
  • 🛂 Passport Quiz (Primary and up): mixed questions about all 20 places. Play alone or pass the phone.
  • 📍 Map Challenge (Primary and up): tap the country where each place is found.

What players learn

Where each place is (country, region and map location), what makes it special, its geography (volcanoes, deltas, deserts, rift valleys, inselbergs), its history (ancient kingdoms, Great Zimbabwe, the slave trade, Kush and Egypt), its wildlife, UNESCO World Heritage status and why it matters to people today, including tourism jobs and conservation.

For teachers and parents

Safari Passport supports Social Studies and Basic Science in Primary, and Geography, History, Civic Education and Tourism in JSS and SSS. Explore a place together on a projector, use the map to talk about regions and neighbouring countries, then play the Map Challenge or Passport Quiz as a class game.

Facts are simplified for learners; where sources give different figures, the game uses the best-supported one and says “about”. Cape Coast Castle’s history is told gently for younger children. Safari Passport supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
